To Wales in a Car

An ungulatory journey
The picture is from a while back and taken from the UK TV channel Dave’s Facebook page. My immediate thought was that they had to come from Cowes to so be designated. The word vaccine derives from the Latin for the cowpox virus: variolae vaccīnae - vacca being Latin for a cow.
Dave’s post and my subsequent though segues well to a post I am planning about ‘-ine’ words used for animals. Vaccine is not used in that context for cows, bovine is, albeit at a cattle level. So whilst researching more about bovine and exactly what cattle are, I pushed my mind into the world of ungulates. From there, it was but a short trip to Wales.
